Hello from GameCoaster,
For the past five weeks, we have been running breathlessly to stabilize the game. While it’s hard to say everything is completely polished just yet, we believe the foundation is now solid enough for us to start taking our next big steps.
Moving forward, we plan to continuously develop Dungeon Within by expanding content alongside game improvements. Here is a brief look at our upcoming roadmap.
🚩 Top Priorities (Short-Term Roadmap)
These are the system improvements we are currently focusing on developing first.
- Memento Mori: Monster Transfer: We plan to add a feature in Memento Mori that allows you to transfer a monster's Traits, Parts, and Variant status to another entity for a certain cost. Like in-game fusions, the material monster will be consumed, but this will ease the burden of customization by allowing for intentional design rather than pure randomness.
- Memento Mori: Variant Codex: Variants will be collected in a separate Codex, allowing you to transplant a collected Variant onto an owned monster whenever you wish.
- Memento Mori: Monster Renaming: You will be able to rename monsters recorded in the Ark of Memory, making it easier to organize and remember them according to your specific builds or affection.
- Starting Monster Inheritance: As Trial stages expand, starting stats often struggle to keep up with the difficulty. To alleviate this, we are preparing a system where you can set up to three monsters (Grade 3 or lower) as your 'Starting Monsters' to begin the run with you.
📌 High Priorities (Mid-to-Long-Term Roadmap)
These features will be developed and updated over a period of about 5 to 8 weeks after the top priorities are completed. They will not all drop in a single patch but will be introduced sequentially through regular updates. (Please note that details or timelines may shift during development.)
- Grade 9 Monsters: We are currently redesigning some of the Grade 9 monsters, so they will be released slightly later than initially anticipated.
- Boss Heroes: Dedicated Hero Bosses will make their appearance through 'New Trials'.
- Dungeon Expansion: We will introduce a feature to progressively expand your dungeon up to a maximum size of 5x5. Alongside this, we plan to add a feature that extends the number of stages you can progress through.
- Difficulty System Expansion: Beyond simply earning Trial rewards, we plan to revamp and expand the difficulty system, offering customizable settings and ways to challenge your own limits.
💌 Closing Thoughts
In addition to the above, we will continuously work on adding new enhancement features and improving basic gameplay mechanics.
While we wish we could release everything immediately to meet your expectations, we ask for your understanding as we carefully balance our update schedule to ensure the game’s direction remains clear and the quality remains high.
