Hello. This is the Dungeon Within development team.

Dungeon Within has officially launched in Early Access on the Google Play Store and App Store. We sincerely thank everyone who has supported us up to this point.

This document was created to share our future development direction and priorities. We have outlined the current structural challenges the game faces, our plans to resolve them, and the content updates you can expect in the coming phases.

🚨 Top Priorities

These issues directly impact the core gameplay experience and will be addressed before any other tasks.

• Improving Low-Tier Monster Utilization We have noticed that as a run progresses, low-tier Monsters pile up, diluting the value of rewards and making progression feel monotonous. To address this, we are introducing two meaningful ways to utilize low-tier monsters:
  • Dark Lord Enhancement: Consume low-tier monsters to grant buffs to the Dark Lord or the entire dungeon. Effects will vary based on the consumed monsters, expanding your resource management options.
  • Monster Fusion: Combine monsters to acquire a new, random monster. The outcome depends on the types and combinations used, providing a way to clean up inventory while securing new combat power.
• In-Run Enhancement System When you acquire duplicate Monsters or Facilities during a run, you will be able to merge them to significantly boost their unique abilities for that specific run. This ensures duplicates don't feel like a wasted reward and encourages diverse builds.
• Facility Combination We are adding a system that allows you to combine certain low-tier Facilities into more powerful ones, adding strategic depth to facility management.
• Dominance Revamp With the introduction of these new enhancement systems, we need to rebalance overall power levels. We will expand the scope of Dominance and adjust its values to synergize smoothly with the new mechanics.
• Difficulty Expansion We will expand the current Trial levels. As players gain more ways to grow stronger, we want to provide corresponding challenges to test their might.

📌 Priority Tasks

These are content expansions that will be rolled out sequentially after our top priorities are met.

• Tier 8 & Tier 9 Monsters: We will gradually introduce higher-tier monsters to raise the power ceiling of your forces.
• 5x5 Dungeon Expansion: We plan to support larger dungeon layouts beyond the current 5x5 grid. This feature will unlock under specific conditions and serve as a long-term progression goal.
• Boss Heroes: We will add unique Boss Heroes exclusive to each stage, providing distinct and thematic challenges.
• Architect's Workshop Expansion: We will expand the Architect's Workshop to allow players to use both basic and limited resources for growth, enabling strategies tailored to individual playstyles.
• New Memento Mori Features: We will sequentially unlock currently disabled features. Details will be provided as each feature is revealed.
• New Events: We are well aware that there is currently a lack of event content. We will continuously add new Events with diverse themes and reward structures.
• VFX Diversification: We plan to enhance the visual impact of battles by adding shared visual effects for specific monsters and facilities.
